Thanksgiving comes a week early to Benjamin Turner Middle School

Benjamin Turner Middle School hosted a free Thanksgiving Feast for families on Thursday, November 18, 2022. This event was hosted by the PTA and parent liaisons in conjunction with the Benjamin Turner staff.
“The whole idea is to have families come in to play, have fun and eat,” said Shenneth Jones, PTA president.
Throughout the cafeteria board games were set up so people could gather, and there was also a raffle for families to win gift baskets.
“It’s always nice when the parents are here with us,” said Dr. Christopher Pearce, principal of Benjamin Turner Middle School.
Assistant Principal, Raisa Turner blessed the food and then the feast began! There was chicken, rice, yams, string beans, stuffing and more — all for free.
